Jack Sanders Obituary
July 16, 1944 - April 30, 2022
Charlotte, North Carolina - Jack (or Jackie as he was called by family and friends in Louisiana) was born in Durham, NC and grew up in the small town of Homer, Louisiana. He attended Homer High School where he was on the state champion Track Relay team, Football and Basketball teams. From there, Jack went to Louisiana Tech University and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi fraternity. After graduating college, he took a position with Ludlow Corporation selling paper mill packaging for the Southeast Region of the US. This brought him and his family to Charlotte, NC in 1976. After twenty-eight years with Ludlow, he worked for Wausau-Mosinee Paper Corporation until his retirement.
Jack loved spending time with his family members, and cherished every minute he had with them. He was a proud and devoted father and grandfather. His friendships throughout his entire life brought him great joy. Through each stage, these people were important to him, from his early childhood friends, co-workers (The Fantastic Four) and wonderful weekly golf group. He loved talking politics, Carolina Panther football, and really any sport. Many called him a walking sports encyclopedia.
Jack is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Amy and Brian Haag of Charlotte, NC and his grandson, Tyler Jackson Haag of Charleston, SC. And preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Joyce Sanders.
His family would like to thank his medical team for the great care they gave him and the compassion they showed to him and his family.
Memorials can be made in his honor to Make-a-Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. These were two of his favorite charities.

Mr Sanders: I remember you so fondly. You were a great father. I hope Kim was there to meet you when you crossed over. I like to think she was. My sympathies to Amy and her family. I know you'll be greatly missed.
