Charlotte, North Carolina - Dr. James Frosst Alexander, who passed away December 29, 2022 at his residence in Maine, will have a Celebration of Life 2 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church: 1412 Providence Road Charlotte, NC 28207. A gathering will follow the service at the church.
There will be a private internment ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS): P.O. Box 1052 West Falmouth, MA 02574.

Jim Alexander was a wonderful man and physician. When I joined Mecklenburg Medical Group in August , 1993, he was the Head of the group and was very supportive and always had an answer for all of my many questions! In fact he and Charlie Rich helped me to decide to buy my first home !!! Which was a great decision ! He had unlimited energy up to his retirement. He was a great leader and diagnostician. He was respected by all and he is truly missed . I have peace in knowing he is with God the Father in heaven and his family. But his spirit lives on in Charlotte, especially for all of us physicians who had the honor and the privilege to know him and work with him. May God bless his family and Angels always watch over them. And May Jim have peace and serenity in heaven , which he deserved. Dr Wanda Spolnicki Robinson , MD

Dr Alexander was my Dr from college until he retired. He & his nurse Linda Horne were so caring. I did not hear of his death until today. My condolences to the family! Sending prayers !

I knew Jim as a family friend-he and Martha were dear friends of my parents, Hunt and Mary Williams-and professionally, as Jim was President of the first Board of the Charlotte Drug Education Center, founded by Dr. Jonnie McLeod, staffed by energetic young 20-somethings like myself. We staff were entrusted with that first decade of the Charlotte D.E.C. and we forged powerful partnerships in mental health education/prevention. You are now at rest, dear Jim. Thank you for your vision in the Charlotte community.
