Dear Kathy,
It has been years since I knew you in dental school. You may not remember me-I was one year below you. I wanted to share with you my deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband. I also wanted to share with you that I lost my father very suddenly and tragically when I was young. I promise you that God will take care of you and your children. He will give your children enormous strength and teach them how to cherish the time they had with their dad instead of mourn the time they missed. I know you will get through this better than you would ever imagine. You, your family, and David's staff are all in my thoughts and prayers. If I can help you in any way, I am here in Greensboro.

I pray that HE who saves and has freely given the gift of life by His death on the cross gives you comfort, solace, and the peace that passes ALL understanding during this time.

In Him,

Kathy and family, I don't know you, but I do know the deep pain of losing someone close to you. You don't have to know someone to feel compassion for them. There are no words I can say to take the pain, time helps, but there is someone who is right there with you that can give you comfort, peace and guidance. He is our Heavenly Father, let Him hold you up in HIs loving arms. May God give you the strength you need at this sad time in your lives. Most sincerely, Ovella Turner

He was my dentist for 22 years and I will miss him.

My prayer for you:
Father, I ask that you comfort the Boyd family and the girls that worked in his office.I ask that you be with them in the days, weeks, and years to come. May they remember the good times and feel the love and comfort that only you can give. Give them the strength to get through all they are facing. I pray that you will ease the pain and hurtful memories they have had to endure. Father, we are not perfect and we do make mistakes, and I thank you for loving us and for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save us. I pray that each person will seek your will for their life as they are faced with new changes in their lives. Thank You Lord for loving me and for the blessings you have given me and the one's that are yet to come. And Lord, help us to do the things we wished we would have done when we stand before you!
These things I ask in Jesus' name,
Amen

I am very saddened at the passing of David from among us. My prayers and kind thoughts are with you and your family throughout this painful situation. I will miss David both as a friend and as my Dentist. I am proud to have known him. It is times like these when there is only one set of footprints in the sand and they belong to GOD. Allow him to carry you and the family and bring you through this sad point in your lives. May The Peace Of GOD That Passes All Understanding Keep Your Hearts And Minds In Christ Jesus.
May GOD Bless You as He has Blessed me by having David and Yourself and the children as Friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Boyd's for 10 yrs. I will always remember that crazy monkey clock that brushed its teeth as the tail swung seconds, it was always in my view. Just as we all will now be in David's view. No matter how much pain, sorrow, disbelief you may have, always remember he is only a whisper away. Energy never dies it only changes form. Every time you relive memories he will be in your presence. For Kathy and their children, "He will be in your presence every time you take a breath" GOD BLESS!

Kathy, You and the children are in my prayers every day. Back when the boys were little and I would head out to the playground at Sacred Heart to watch my own little ones, I would be glad to see David there. I knew we would have a good conversation while the children played. I will miss David's comments and humor at Adult Ed too. May God surround you all with the Holy Spirit and give you wisdom and peace in the days ahead. Sincerely, Peggy and Lee Fisher

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Family,

You do not have to be a patient or even a friend of the Boyd Family to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this sad time. My heart goes out to the children who will have to grow up without their father. At times like this, Mothers become both Mother and Father and I am sure Mrs. Boyd has the strength to handle both roles.

Someday I hope you will have a peace that comes over your heart, but I also know it will be a long time in coming.

To Doctor Boyds Family:
Dr. Boyd took care of my nieces and nephews dental care. He was so good with them. They were never afraid of him. He had such a wonderful caring way about him.
