James Lee Grice

Mr. James Lee Grice, age 71, of Charlotte, died December 26, 2002 at the Bryan Center. He was a food and industrial equipment salesperson in the Charlotte area. Mr. Grice served in the United States Marines and Marine Reserve for 25 years and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant. He was a graduate of Burtons Institute with a Degree in business. Mr. Grice was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mabel Grice, and a brother, Thomas Bruce Grice.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Kerley and husband, Jack, of Iron Station, and Brenda Donahue of Charlotte; sisters, Grace Grice of Charlotte, Peggy Pressley of Mooresville; and a brother, Richard Grice of Charlotte; granddaughter, Katy Kerley; and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Nancy Shields Grice, his former spouse.
Services for Mr. Grice will be held Friday, December 27, 2002 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, with the Reverend Tom Shields officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at Hopewell Presbyterian Church cemetery.
