Mr. Jaynes was principle at Albemarle Road Junior High when I was a student there. I have many fond memories of him walking the halls, speaking to students and teachers, calling down the troublemakers, praising those who choose to do the right thing. He was tough when he needed to be but was very kind as well. He made quite an impression on me and my brothers. My sympathy goes out to your family.
Sincerely,
Leah Allen

Coach Jaynes was a big powerful man with a gentle smile and kind eyes. He was our headcoach in '57 and '58 at Waynesville where he updated us from the single wing into the (then) modern T-formation. He knew how to both console and motivate his players. He was admired and respected by his team and coaching staff. His memories are very vivid to me. I have prayed for his soul in bliss and wish his family acceptance and peace.
