Daniel Island, South Carolina - Joseph Henry Simas, of Daniel Island, SC, (formerly of Barrington, RI), husband of Elizabeth Ann (Hughes) Simas entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2021.
Born on January 25, 1938 in Providence, RI, Joseph was a son of the late Edward T. Simas and Alice Regina Simas.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his son David Simas (Caroline) and his daughter Betty Jo Simas DMD; Grandchildren: Justin TenBrook DMD, Chase TenBrook, D. Walker Simas, William Joseph Simas, Charlotte Elizabeth Simas and Sarah Grace Simas. Mr Simas is also survived by his sister Dorothea (Simas) Skorski.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Christine (Simas) Newton.
His funeral service will be private. The family will host a Celebration of Life service later this year.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's memory may be sent to Save The Bay Center, 100 Save The Bay Drive, Providence, RI, 02905.
