Mr. Lloyd "Doody" Brock, age 74, of Monroe, NC, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at CMC-Union. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Brock was born on October 20, 1942, in Stanly County, North Carolina, a son of the late James Lloyd Brock and the late Mildred Surratt Brock. He was a retired master cabinet maker for Moore Manufacturing/Reliable Construction. Mr. Brock was also a dedicated Mason, a member of the Eastern Star and a US Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife Reba Starnes Brock of Monroe, NC; his two sons Christopher Dean Brock of Monroe, NC and Richard Shane Brock (Rebecca) of Cleveland, NC; his brother James Claude "Bo" Brock (Lesa) of Norwood, NC; his sister Helen Pauline "Polly" Thorpe (Robert) of Norwood, NC; and his seven grandchildren Christopher William Brock, Zachery Chase Brock, Aaron Dean Brock, Timothy Lee Brock, Autumn Lynn Brock, Sarah Elizabeth Brock and Kaleigh Morgan Brock.The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday evening, March 23, 2017, at Davis Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Twin Harbor Worship Center, 8011 Twin Harbor Drive, Mt.
