Louis Pagliaro Obituary

Louis G. Pagliaro
February 25, 1948 - January 20, 2021
Troutman, North Carolina - Louis G. Pagliaro, 72, passed away on the early morning of January 20, 2021, after battling the Covid-19 virus in the hospital for 20 days.
He was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, the oldest child in the family of six children to Gene and Alice (Schoen) Pagliaro. After graduating high school, he settled to Niagara Falls Ontario. He later met the love of his life, Diane Kauppi from Houghton/Hancock area Michigan, where they were soon married in October 1971. In 1993, the family moved to the Charlotte NC area.
Lou had a beautiful, intelligent mind, and thrived for information. He excelled in his knowledge of science and chemistry, math, and history. He loved to build things and tinker with gadgets, to bring broken things back to life. But what we all remember most is his tremendous humor and quick wit, he always had a joke for any situation. He loved being with people, and being part of the action. With his many talents, he was able to be a special dad for each of his boys, a loving husband to his wife, and a trusted and loyal brother and friend.
His greatest joy was being a faithful servant of our Grand Creator Jehovah God, which he dedicated his life to on September 28, 1963. He regularly participated in the ministry work, sharing with others the glorious hope for a future paradise here on Earth that God has promised as found in his Word the Bible. This hope includes the promise of the resurrection of the dead, a hope that he had so much confidence in, and his friends and family hold dear, that carried him through his most trying days.
He is survived by his wonderful loving wife of 49 years Diane, and his four sons and their children: Gregory and his children Annabella and Jacob; Christopher and his daughter Madison; Bradley and his wife Jennifer, and their children Elise and Logan; and Ben J. Min and his wife Carrie. He is also survived by many other family, including: his brother Larry Pagliaro and his wife Marg and their family; the family of his sister Lana Tycholiz (deceased) and her husband Leo; his sister Linda Pagliaro; his sister Nancy Steinke and her husband Robert and family; and his sister Rebecca Hansler and her husband Brian and family; his aunt Marilyn Bowes and her husband Raymond and family.
An online service is prepared for January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests you visit jw.org and enjoy the Bible-based information there. Voluntary donations that support that worldwide work are accepted on that site.
We look forward to being able chat with our dad and brother again and catch him up on everything he missed, just around the corner.

I was a caretaker of Louis and he made a lasting impression on me. Louis always had a positive attitude and was full of stories and jokes! He was also so proud of his family and spoke highly of his sons. There is much to say, but I surely will not forget him and know he was loved and cherished by many. My sincerest condolences to all of his loved ones.

Dear Diane and family
I was so sad to hear about the passing of Lou. I have great memories of your family from when you lived in the falls. This is a beautifully written obituary, but my greatest memory of Lou is that he was always happy, always smiling. That’s a lovely quality to have. I look forward to seeing that smile again. Please know your in our thoughts and prayers.
