HUDSON -- Mrs. McAnulty, 93, of 3380 Shamrock Heights, formerly of Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Mallard Creek Baptist Church, formerly Stowes Chapel Baptist Church, Rev. Floyd A. Perry officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.
Born October 12, 1914 in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. McAnulty was the daughter of the late Luther Monroe Honeycutt and the late Sophia Abigail Honeycutt Honeycutt. She was a charter member of Stowes Chapel Baptist Church. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was employed at Swinson's, and was a homemaker, and the widow of the late Paul Jacob McAnulty who preceded her in death in 1975.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Curtis McAnulty of Charlotte, and Marvin E. McAnulty and wife Sandra of Fort Mill, SC; daughters, Carolyn McAnulty Cochran and husband Eugene of Harrisburg, Joyce McAnulty Perry and husband Floyd of Hudson, and Joan McAnulty Raborn and husband Jeff of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Loretta Wike, Teresa Brewer, Selena Lemmond, Melanie Dockins, Marsha Smith, Melissa Moore, Mark Perry, Adam E. McAnulty, Tiffany, Kristel and Jacob Raborn; and 16 great grandchildren.
The family will meet at the home of her daughter, Carolyn Cochran, at 5558 Roberta Road, Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Honeycutt and sisters, Dessie Pope and Christine Lisk.
