Mark Alexander Calloway
'Alex'
Mark, age 12, of Charlotte, died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Born on January 10, 1993 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Evadne 'Dee' Jones.
Survivors are his mother, Evadne 'Dee' Jones and his sister, Stephanie Calaway; grandmother, Ruby Belton Henry of Columbia, SC; uncles, Edouard 'Von' Jones and Aloysius 'Doug' Jones of Columbia, SC; aunts, Cassandra Jones and Yolanda Jones Johnson of Columbia, SC; step uncles, Dennis Henry and Gary Henry of Clinton, NC, Ronnie Henry of Charlotte, NC; godparents, Roslyn and Richard Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl C. Henry.
Funeral service will be at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3301 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC at 12:00 noon Monday, November 28, 2005. The body will lie in state from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon, prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Herbert Clegg, Dr. Robert Nahouraii, Dr. Michael Wattenbarger, Dr. Hugh Black, Dr. Michael Heafner, Dr. Lisa Houchin, Dr. Robert Attori, Dr. Judy Laxer, Carolina Medical Center and their supporting staffs. A special thank you to Quality Healthcare and staff and Shauna Pearson, physical therapist.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Span at 200 Clanton Road, Charlotte, NC 28217.
A.L. Jinwright Funeral Service will be serving the Calloway family.
