Mark Sibben Obituary

Mark T. Sibben
Mr. Sibben, 56, of Chagrin Falls, OH, formerly of Charlotte, passed from this life into the arms of his Savior on December 12, 2010 after a valiant 2-year battle with a brain tumor. He was born on February 19, 1954 in Hendersonville, NC to Tom and Pat Sibben. Mark was raised in Charlotte, graduating from South Mecklenburg High School, UNC-Chapel Hill, then Northwestern University where he earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration.
Mark had a stellar 32-year career including leadership roles at Ernst & Young, Trinity Healthcare, Sisters of Charity, and most recently Catholic Health Initiatives where he was VP Strategy & Business Development.
Mark was known for his great intellect, deep faith in Christ, dedicated devotion to his family, culinary excellence, knowing something about almost everything, and the ability to dissect complex issues crisply and effectively. He loved Tarheel basketball, was active coaching his son's basketball teams and always dreamed of being a university professor.
He is survived by Casey, the wife he cherished, his beloved daughter Erin and son Christopher, his mother Pat, sister Kristin, and extended family, the Stampers and Prebles.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 20th at Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Rd., Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mark's name to Grace North Atlanta Church, PO Box 1321, Alpharetta, GA 30009.
