Melvin Campbell Obituary
Mr. Campbell, a native of McConnells, South Carolina, was the owner of Campbell's Tire Service in Charlotte. He leaves to cherish fond memories, 3 sons, Anthony Campbell and Kenyatta Lindsay, both of Charlotte, and Stacey Whitehead of Saskatchewan, Canada; 3 daughters, Paula and Chevelle Campbell, both of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Christina Calloway of Fayetteville, Georgia; 3 sisters, Lillie C. Glasper and Jean Johnson, both of Charlotte, and Vonne Garcia of Korea; 5 brothers, Leon Campbell, Ameen Bay (Ama), and Ernest Morgan, all of Charlotte, Orndre Massey of Atlanta, Georgia, and Van Wallace of Kansas City, Missouri; one grandmother, Maggie Lewis of Flint, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; his former wife of 27 years, Peggy Dalton of Gastonia, North Carolina; his best friend, Darryl Andrews; and special friend, Tina Spears; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many, many more.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Lillie C. Glasper, at 3401 Pinemeadow Drive in Charlotte.
King's Funeral Home, Charlotte, is serving Mr. Campbell's family.
