Michael Campbell Obituary

Michael Daniel Campbell
'Mike'
Mike Campbell, 57, of Mint Hill, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 27, 2009.
Mike was born and raised in Charlotte, graduating from Garinger High School in 1970.
Following high school, he entered the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of five years of service with the military, Mike entered the electrical trade and began his own business in 1982, Beta Electrical Services, Inc.
Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, 'Did you bring joy?' The second was, 'Did you find joy?' For Mike, the answer to both questions was a resounding 'Yes'.
Mike's immediate family includes his wife, Susan Campbell, of Mint Hill; three children, Chad and Lisa Campbell of Matthews, Stacie Campbell and Daniel Campbell, both of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Isobel, Talen and Raven Campbell; his brother, Gary D. Campbell and his wife, Mona, of Pineville.
The family will gather to receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Monday (tonight) in the Chapel of Central Church of God (the building immediately behind the main sanctuary), 5301 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270. Funeral services will also be in the Chapel beginning at 11:00am Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
The Campbell family is in the care of Gaskin Services, Matthews, www.gaskinservices.com.

To the family of Michael Campbell:
To lose a loved one unexpectedly is very diffcult to deal with. The Bible gives us a hope of seeing our loved ones again. At John 6:40 Jesus said "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day." May these words bring you comfort in the days to come.

Mike & Family, When I remember you, I see the laughter, the jokes and the huge appetite around the table. You have been a part of this family for almost 40 years. We grew up together, all of us. You were always there to lend a hand and to mend family. I see you now in my minds eye taking me to school, giving me a hug, and laughter, always laughter telling me it would be ok. You were a becon to my family. That position you will forever hold. I love you Mike and I never said it enough.

First of all I want to say Thank you Mikey for taking care of my sister and the children all of these years. Thank you for always being there for me and helping me when I had no one else. You have been in my life since I was born and I will always miss you . I used to look forward to family get togethers and phone calls to your house because I knew we would hurl insults and talk ( smack ) to each other all in good fun. You always got the best of me by the way , out smarted me everytime ! No one will ever fill your spot in this family Mikey. I'll see you again one day.

Mike because of you I learned to play Baseball and because of you I became an Electrician. You set the standards for me to try to be the best. I always wanted to be like Mike ( The best ). I worked with you for many years and now that you have past, I feel a void with in myself knowing the man who handed me my first Ball Glove and the man who taught me how to be an Electrician has gone to heaven. Mike you were the Father figure in my life as I grew up.
For that I will always Love you.
