Mr. Evans, 39, of Charlotte, died August 12, 2005.
Funeral service is 6 PM Wednesday at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church, Charlotte, with visitation from 4-6 PM. Rev. Dr. C. Don Steger will officiate.
Long & Son Mortuary Service is in charge.

There know soothing way to say this, but,I know God has his arms around you holding you tighter and loving you more than I ever can. To know you is to love you and I still do. Although, you're not here in physical form your presences is felt in the mental, emotional ,and most of all the spiritual.

Tasha and family, I didnt really know Michael that well, but what i did know about Michael is that he loved his "baby sis" Tash, Tasha just dont ever forget the good times and know that Michael will always be watching over you. Due to the loss of Mike, I was shocked and saddened. I only met you all once when you came to California for Mr. Robinson's service. It was a pleasure to have met both of you. I just recently lost my own mother a few weeks ago in Nigeria and know the pain you and your family are suffering through. I will pray that God almighty will guide you through this tragedy. I'm here for you if you ever need to talk. In the short time I spent with Mike talking about his travels to Africa and his dreams of investing into income property...I knew he was a good person to befriend. What I will cherish most about Michael is the love he had for family, friends, and life. When I think of Michael, I am reminded of just how precious life is and that I must enjoy each God given day with passion and thrill as he did. When I saw you a couples weeks ago in August Georgia you said to me that you sometimes got lonely for the aunts, uncles and cousins. You wanted us to visit you more often. Michael I want you to know that I began planning when I would come see you, but my planning was not fast enough. However, I still plan to come visit you, but it will have to be in heaven and we will have lots of time to visit. I have so many great memories with Michael....all of them beginning or ending with his beautiful smile. Whether we were in Ft. Ord, Ca. during his Army days or in Waukegan 'turning a few corners' (as he would say) in that black-cherry Mustang that he loved so much, or in Chicago having expensive steak dinners at Ruth Chris' --we always laughed, reminisced and shared a special love that we maintained for at least 15yrs. Michael, I'll ONLY miss you until we see each other again. And then, my goal is to pick up where we left off! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL and ALWAYS WILL!!!!
To the EVANS family: You don't need me to tell you how much he loved each one of you. Yes, Michael was definitely BOLD, SELF-CONFIDENT & VOCAL -- but he was also CARING, THOUGHTFUL & PASSIONATE.
