Hutchins Lesley, Jr.
CALABASH -- Mr. Lesley, 30, of Woodland Way SW, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at his home.
Michael was born on February 6, 1979 in Dayton, OH. He was employed with Verizon Wireless.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Vernon Lesley; maternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Volz; and Charles Huber.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Parker Lesley, and daughter, Allie Gunter, both of the home; his father, Michael H. Lesley, Sr., and his wife, Julie, of Charlotte, NC; mother, Christie H. 'Kiki' Proctor, of Lakeland, FL; paternal grandmother, Katie Lesley, of Charlotte, NC; step-maternal grandmother, Teresa Huber, of Dayton, OH; brother, Trevor H. Lesley, of Charlotte, NC; sister, Kristin Lesley Parker, and husband, Jason, of Lakeland, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Sandy Parker, of Shallotte, NC; mother-in-law, Bobbie Dillard; and niece, Ella Lesley Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12th in the Camp United Methodist Church by the Reverend Richard Vaughn. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Paw's Place, 3701 E. Boiling Spring Lakes Road, Winnabow, NC 28479 or a charity of one's choice.

Our memories of Michael are happy. He was a great friend of our daugher, Jaime, and spent many times visiting at our house. He was always respectful and friendly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends

I first met Michael in 3rd grade at Scott Lake Elem when he was known as "Mitch", due to all the Michaels in our class. Of course, I was known as "Mikey". We lost touch during high school but I always considered him a good friend.

I just heard of the passing of Michael! I met him in high school and worked closely with him in student council! We also worked together at Crispers in high school! I can honestly say he was always smiling! There was never a dull moment around him and he was always there when you needed him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and he will be missed, but we will see him again one day!

I knew Michael for a short while, from the time he was about one until he was about three years old. I worked for his dad in Lakeland. I remember taking Michael to church with me one time. He was such a cute, sweet little boy. I have always thought the world of Mike and Kiki and pray that God will be with you through this difficult time.

I worked with Mike at The Boundary House--He was always so full of life and could always make you laugh!!! He really loved his wife and daughter and always talked about them. I've known Mike since we were in Elementary School at Scott Lake. Mike always had such an amazing sense of humor. There was never a dull moment when you were around him. I admired him for his ability to be a leader amongst his peers. He was very smart and a great friend.
