Nancy Tuchscherer Obituary

The world lost one of its greatest smiles today. Nancy Ducker Tuchscherer passed on January 20, 2019. She was born on March 9, 1950 to Elizabeth Hamilton Ducker and William Greer Ducker. She was a life long Charlotte resident, graduating from Myers Park H.S. in 1968 and attended St. Andrews University. She was a member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Foxcroft East Tennis & Swim Club and Olde Providence Racquet Club. She was the best, most selfless person I ever met. She was a nurturing homemaker and loving mother, daughter, wife and friend. There was nothing she loved more than spending time at Oak Island among the many friends she made at the beach and on the tennis courts. Although she was an avid gardener and formidable tennis player, her greatest gift was her love for her family and her empathy for the very young and very old. Her biggest goal in life was to help others and she did that to the very end by donating her body to science.

She was predeceased by her parents, William Greer Ducker and Elizabeth Hamilton Ducker; her brothers, Rev. George L. and Billy Ducker. She is survived by her loving and eternally grateful husband, Mitch Tuchscherer; her daughter, Leslie Wagoner and husband Jason; her daughter, Megan Crocker and husband Andy; her grandsons, Austin and Jackson Wagoner; her granddaughter, June Crocker; her sister-in-law, Lane C. Ducker; and her nephews, Greer and Brian Ducker.

Those that knew her well will understand this quote, "Though she be but little she is fierce". Rest in Peace my Sweet Darlin'.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service in Oxford Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Levine Cancer Institute: Project PINK at www.atriumhealthfoundation.org/projectpink. The Levine Cancer Center was there for her in every way for her 12 year battle.

Condolences may be offered at www.harryandbryantfuneralhome.com.

We will keep you and your family in our prayers. Would like to establish contact with you Mitch. Perhaps in time, we could get together and catch up with each other. We have lots of good memories with you. Sincerely, Corky and Carrol

We were friends with Libby and Bill Ducker, Nancy's parents, for many years. I know how Nancy cared for her parents, especially in their later years. She was a loved child in their eyes. We wish Mitch and the children love and support from all who know them. May they find comfort in knowing what a special lady Nancy was.
