As a long-time member at Dilworth United Methodist Church, I wanted you to know what a joy it was to know Nell and Vernon.
Nell always made me laugh and smile. Her energy level was incredible, so it was difficult not be inspired by Nell. She may have been the youngest senior citizen I have ever known.
I wish I could have been one of her students.
Best wishes to your family.

As I read about Mrs. Faircloth in today's paper I was sad at the world's loss and at the same time a smile that I could not stop crossed my face. It's the same smile I have seen dozens of times when Kate, Zach, their friends and parents of their friends speak of their Eastover School experience. ALWAYS Mrs. Faircloth's name is part of those memories and the same familiar smile appears. She captured everyone's attention and made them smile. She may have been a better dancer than Michael Jackson and used his music and MOVES to teach and endear herself to ALL. At that point in time he was an effective teaching tool she used as no one else could have. Thank you for making us smile!!!!
Carrying each of you in our hearts and prayers.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT AUNT NELLA RAE BUT IT SURE IS REASSURING TO KNOW THAT SHE IS WITH HER LORD AND SAVIOR---ALSO WITH UNCLE VERNON. I ALWAYS ENJOYED THEM COMING TO VISIT AT GRANDMA MAE LEE'S. AUNT NELLA RAE & UNCLE VERNON WERE SO MUCH FUN, SHE WOULD ALWAYS DO HER BREAK DANCING FOR ME AND I WOULD JUST FALL OVER IN LAUGHTER. UNCLE VERNON USED TO ALWAYS TELL ME HOW BEAUTIFUL MY EYES WERE AND HE ALWAYS MADE ME SMILE AND FEEL SPECIAL. I AM THANKFUL THAT GOD BLESSED ME WITH THE WONDERFUL AND FUN MEMORIES THAT I HAVE OF POSSUM FORK AND ALL THE ECCENTRIC PEOPLE THAT VISITED GRANDMA'S.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND YOU ARE IN OUR PRAYERS.
LOVE,

I had the privilege of having our Dear Mrs. Faircloth, as my 3rd Grade Teacher at Park Road Elementary.(September 1967 thru May 1968) It has been written that she was the teacher many of her students would always remember. Beyond that statement, Mrs. Faircloth was my favorite Teacher! Mrs. Faircloth was a wonderful, motivating educator. She was great at giving praise, but was also a disciplinarian. I can still smell the many beautiful geraniums that lined the glass exterior wall in our classroom. Both Mr. and Mrs. Faircloth will be greatly missed. My Mother, Evelyn, my Wife Michele, and I, extend our deepest sympathy and love to the family.
