Patty Goebel
Patty Goebel, 63, of Matthews, NC died March 13, 2011. She was born August 24, 1947 in Bronx, NY, daughter to Howard Siple and the late Marion Nolan Siple.
She graduated in 1967 from Misericordia School of Nursing (now Our Lady of Mercy School of Nursing). She was a registered nurse for over 30 years, working with Cardiac Care, Pediatric Care and Visiting Nurse Services.
She was the devoted wife of 41 years to Art Goebel, loving mother of Brian Goebel of Charlotte, cherished grandmother to Brianne, Bradley and Brenna, special daughter to Howard Siple, loving sister to Linda Siple of Huntington, NY and Denis Siple of Oyster Bay, NY, cherished aunt to Alex and Christian Siple of Oyster Bay, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at St. Luke Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington/Matthews Chapel.
The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation and thanks to Dr. Lance Lassiter of Matthews Hematology and Oncology, Dr. Andrew Kennedy of Wake Medical Center, Cary, NC and Marshall McMillan, Crown Point Physicians, Charlotte and all their staff.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
