Paul Treveiler Obituary

Paul John Treveiler
LAKE WYLIE -- 75, died July 13, 2003 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. He was born August 8, 1927 in Dubuque, IA to the late John M. and Ruth R. Treveiler. Paul was an alumnus of New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York in 1948, and served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
Educated as a Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Treveiler was employed in the electric motor industry. He moved to Lake Wylie in 1981 and retired in 1993 as Regional Sales Manager after a 26 year career with Ametek/Lamb Electric.
An avid golfer, Paul was also a Master Gardener. He supported community service work at The Pilgrim's Inn in Rock Hill, SC and was a member of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, SC. He had an easy sense of humor, relished spending time with his family, and had a passion for international travel.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Diane H. Treveiler of Lake Wylie; his daughter, Kathleen Treveiler Miller of Fairport, NY; his sons, John Treveiler of Chester, SC, Robert Treveiler and Edward Treveiler, both of Charlotte; his stepsons, Jeffrey Daly, Peter Daly, and Chris Daly, all of Syracuse, NY, and John Daly of Asheville, NC; his sister, Jean Treveiler Welter and brother-in-law, Hugh Welter of Austin, TX; his brother, Robert Treveiler and sister-in-law, Jean Dickson Treveiler of Flat Rock, NC; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Natalie Watt Treveiler and son, Charles William Treveiler.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul John Treveiler will be held at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2003. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim's Inn, P.O. Box 11328, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
