I just now learned of Phil's death. He and my Mother (Nellie Biggers) spent many years putting their art together for countless weddings. He was the only one who could beautifully and skillfully photograph her wedding cakes. I can still hear the two of them laugh! I am grateful to have had him photograph my wedding as well as artfully do my wedding portrait. A true artist. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family as you move through your loss.

Phil was an inspiration to me as i started my photography career. I will never forget coming to him one afternoon shortly after i got out of Randolph Tech (photography School) and asking for a job. Phil said He had all the help he needed at the moment but was willing to help provide me with some advice. He said i should become a member of the PPNC. I became a member shortly after. Over the years we got together for lunch and discussed many things family business and life in general.I have all the respect in the world for the Aull family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you guys today. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the service today. I have a full schedule at my studio. Thank you Phil for all the great memories, good by my friend. Rest in piece. You will always have a place in my heart.

I used to see Mr. Aull at the Diamond. A wonderful man. He and my dad, who passed away 12 years ago, were friends. May God comfort you in your grief in the coming days and weeks.

Phil Aull was one of the finest gentlemen and perhaps the best photographer I ever knew. I was blessed to know him as a friend and working colleague for almost as long as I can remember. He was a gifted artist who could work magic and make any woman alive look lovely...and happy. You couldn't help but enjoy working with him. Our family will treasure his pictures of us for as long as we live. Our deepest sympathy to all of Phil's family.

My deepest sympathy to the Aull family. Phil not only composed beautiful photographs; he clearly composed a beautiful life. He was a dear friend, a good neighbor, and a business angel to me. His words of encouragement spurred me to follow my dream. Thank you for sharing him with so many in the wedding world who loved and admired him. He will be greatly missed.

Phil was a true master of his profession. Whether you were 2 or 102, he made every sitting fun. You could look at any wedding album he created and you could tell: "Yeah, Phil Aull did this one." He was that good.
God bless you, old friend,
Larry Dagenhart, Jr.

Phil took pictures. They captured the moment. But when you looked at the world through his thoughts you always saw it much clearer.

Phil was one of the first photographers I worked with when I started my ad agency in the 1980s and he was always so professional, but fun to be with. He shot a photo of my son at age one in a chef's outfit he wore for Halloween. It is one of my most treasured possessions. Thank you Phil for years of being a hard worker and what looks like a great family man. God speed. Jean Spangler

I was so sadden by the news of Phil...It was such a privilege to have worked with him. I had many of my brides have him do their portraits and weddings, gifting them with beautiful memories because of his 'magic eye' for making that 'special' moment come alive forever! You will be missed Phil.(Former Owner of The Brides Room)

Phil was the consummate, crazy, talented, "could fetch water in a sieve" children's photographer.
We will remember you every morning as we view 12 of your infant photos of our daughters on our bedroom wall. (so good we purchased all of the proofs!)
We will also miss your impish smile & eyes as we tilted a couple at your "gatherings @ the river."
Our steadfast sorrow and sympathy to Cindy, Cassie and families.

I spent my most formative years hanging out with the Aull family on a regular basis both at Queens Rd. and "the river", and later at "the studio". Phil was such a warm and colorful father figure who never seemed annoyed by my constant presence. I will always remember him with the utmost love and respect. His fun loving, comical, always caring spirit will live on in our hearts.
