Dr. Phillip Gary Tesh

CONCORD -- Dr. Phillip Gary Tesh, age 67, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home and will be at the home the remaining time. Dr. Kathyrn B. Baines and Rev. Chad Huebner will officiate. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park.
Dr. Tesh was born June 1, 1935 in Iredell Co. He was the son of the late Walter Grier and Faye Roberts Tesh. A graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Davidson College, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Denistry. He opened his Dental practice here in 1967 and practiced until his death. He was Past President of the Cabarrus Dental Society and a member of the NC Dental Society. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, former Sunday School Teacher, and Council Member. He was also a Past President of the Cabarrus County Boy's and Girl's Club.
Survivors are wife, Mrs. Barbara Garner Tesh; daughters, Lynne Gronback of Hillsborough, NC, Amy Sparks and husband Brent of Huntersville; son, Phillip G. Tesh, Jr. and wife, Lynn of Concord; grandchildren, Jesse Gronback, Gunnar Gronback, Anders Gronback, Amanda Tesh, Nathan Test, Kelli Tesh, Madison Tesh, Aaron Tesh, Corey Tesh, Kaelyn Sparks, and Rachel Sparks.
