I worked for Bob some 40 years ago and he was one of nicest guys I could have had for a boss. He will be missed and I sit here laughing to myself thinking about some of times spent of that house boat a Terry's Marina.

What can I say about Uncle Bob.. Well. He was & always will be incredible & I will miss him very much!
I came across these words that John Newton penned in a letter in 1762: "What countless multitudes have gone before us in the path that leads to that kingdom! They were, in their time, followers of an unseen Saviour, as we are now; but while I write, and while you read, they are praising the Lamb that was slain, and casting their crowns at his feet." I can imagine Uncle Bob joining Grand-Dad , Grandmother and my Dad along with Stephen and Tommy with many other voices in that heavenly choir...
Wow! What an incredible reunion!!
"And the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:10-11
Your friend in Christ,

Sending my sympathy and prayers to the Heffner family on the loss of their loved one. Over the years, I have enjoyed stories shared by Carolyn Auman of her brothers. May those memories carry you, his family, through this time of sorrow.

Cathy and I met in the 2nd grade and have been best friends ever since. Her family became my extended family and we traversed many years and experiences together. We will miss Bob very much - he had beautiful impact on the lives of many.

Oh the years that have passed . My father Buddy Baker, friends from back in there school days. Trips to the beach, and heaven only knows what kind of antics they found to get into. Later years, single again and their boat (stardust cruiser 40 ft). The Sin Den 3 that has to say it all!
Lynn, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bob Heffner was a larger-than-life presence who inspired respect. He was my Father-In-Law for over twenty years and in that time, was something of an actual father to me during my marriage.

He valued Family and Integrity above all, and never failed to instill those values in us as a part of his family.

Mary and I want you to know that our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. We Pray continually for your hearts to be comforted.

The thing I will always remember the most about Uncle Bobby was that he was always there for my Dad when he needed him most. I never forgot that so I tried to be there for him and his family when we all knew he was going to heaven soon. He was a fighter until the end and I believe he went to Heaven with boxing gloves on. It is time to celebrate his life and now the eternal life he will always have with his Mother and Father and his brother (My Dad). I will miss him but now I am happy for him.

Some of my fondest memories are of those where the elder Heffners gathered together, Earl, Bob and Gus. You could actually see the kids come out of them again. Made me realize that just because you get older doesn't mean you cannot have fun. Hopefully Earl was up there waiting for him so they could start up again. What I would give to see that reunnion :)

My condolences to Lynn, Cathy and their immediate family. Bob was a good man and will always be thought of that way.

Uncle Bob was a good guy, a successful professional, and a family man that we will all miss. I remember seeing his boxing trophies back in the day, and always wanted to see him in the ring. I hope all are comforted with their own wealth of fond memories.

Bob has been my brother-in-law for forty + years (brother to my late husband, Earl). It has been both a pleasure and an honor to be a part of this devoted family. . . . and a lot of fun too.

My condolences to his gracious wife, Lynn, his lovely daughter Cathy, his son Rob, his step-son Jerry and his three granddaughters. His was a life well-lived.

May God's peace surround you now and forever more until we are all re-united once again.
