To Mrs. Pennington,
All my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Robert and I shared some memorable times while living in Charlotte. He and I have stayed in contact over the years re-living good memories. Robert was a mentor and friend. His imprint on my life will forever be remembered.

Leigh (Mrs. Pennington),
Although many years have passed since we last saw one another ( Nation Ford Elementary 1980-81), I have never forgotten you. While I did not have the great honor and pleasure of meeting Robert, I know that he must have been a truly great person. Please know that you and Robert have been a tremendous inspiration to many of us over the years. I will continue to think of you and Robert in the coming days, months , and years. Thank you for all that you did for me.

Leigh & Jessica,
I will miss Robert. He was a rare and gifted person. He loved people and people loved him. He was the center of every room he entered. I enjoyed so much the time I was able to work with him.
God is good and I know he is holding Robert in his arms right now.

Leigh, please know that I am praying for you in this time of loss. Robert was truly an inspiration for all! Our days working at the Exchange Building in Memphis are times I will always remember - what fun to come to work for such a neat man! He will be missed, for sure.
