SHERRILLS FORD -- Sadie Lynn, our beloved wife, mother and nana, passed on Sunday, July 8, 2007 and is now with her Savior in Heaven. Her loving family consisted of her dear husband, Joel Morris; daughter, Nichole Murphy; and son, Daniel Morris. We will truly miss her.
Sadie Lynn was born in Sylva, NC on August 18, 1954 to the late Leon and Sadie Bryson Picklesimer. She was also predeceased by her younger sister, Kay Ellen Picklesimer.
In addition to her dear husband, her survivors include daughter, Sadie Nichole and husband, Allen Murphy, and their children, Sadie and Max; Sadie's son, Daniel and his wife, Jaclyn Morris, and their son Zack. Sadie's siblings include Bobby Picklesimer of Asheville and his wife, Nancy, and children, and Jeff Picklesimer and his wife, Sherry, and children.
Sadie will always be remembered for her big beautiful smile, her helpful hand to anyone in need and her loving spirit. Sadie was so devoted to her family and to her church. She so enjoyed singing in the choir and spending time with her quilting guild. After retirement from GMAC, she spent her time helping raise her grandchildren and taking care of her beautiful mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Gin Morris of Sherrills Ford who will both truly miss her.
Sadie was laid to rest on July 11th at Addie Cemetery in Sylva, NC. There will be a memorial service in celebration of her life on Sunday, July 15, at 6:00 PM at New Covenant United Methodist Church, Mt. Holly.
The family asks that donations be made in lieu of flowers to Sadie's church building fund at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 14514 Lucia Riverbend Hwy., Mt. Holly, NC 28120.

I remember Sadie from Mills Home. I did not get to know her very well mainly because of our age difference. I did notice her lively outgoing spirit and beautiful laugh.

I'm sure there is much pain still felt over Sadie's passing, some heartaches & pains fade much more slowly than others. Gradually that pain will begin to decrease, while memories & love will stay strong. God Speed

Joel, Nichole and Daniel. I met Sadie when we were children at Mills Home. She had a truly wonderful smile and the most loving soul. She was always happy and always had time to listen and help if she could. We all need friends like Sadie and she will truly be missed. My prayers are with you even today, and always will be for the strength and courage to carry on. I know that she is with the Angels and she is Happy, but we still miss you down here Sadie.

Joel and Family, my thoughts are with you. Holly and I have been talking this week remebering all our good times at GMAC with Sadie. SHe made us laugh so much and never felled to ask if she could help us. Sadie and Holly were the first visitors at the Hospital when the twins were born and I will always treasure that. But that is just what she was, thoughtful and kind.

I worked with Sadie at GMAC for lots of years! I could talk to her about anything and she never judged me. There were many days I could not have made it without Sadie. I will miss her so much. She was very special to me and lots of others at GMAC. My heart goes out to Nichole, Daniel, Joel and his parents. They will be in my prayers. Also, to Sadie and Zack - I hope they are reminded what a wonderful and special lady their nana was! Sadie, I love you and will see again!
