Sara Ellen Featherstone

CRAMERTON -- Sara Ellen Featherstone, 82, of Carillon Assisted Living of Cramerton, died August 25, 2002 at her residence.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mae Stowe Featherstone. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Belmont. She retired as a medical technician with the offices of Dr. Richard Rankin, Mount Holly.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lucille F. Elliott of Charlotte and Mrs. Ruth F. Lewis of Belmont; a brother, Coit W. Featherstone of Gastonia; nephews and nieces.
A private committal will be conducted at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday at New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery, followed by a Service of Resurrection, at 2 p.m. at The Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Home, Belmont. Dr. Richard Boyce and Reverend Wilson Rhoton will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
