Sarah Clinkscales Obituary
April 24, 1971 - June 29, 2022
Asheville, North Carolina - A brilliant light has moved from earth to the heavens. Sarah Glenn Clinkscales joined her parents and four-legged children in their celestial paradise on June 29, 2022.
Born to Martha Ramsey Clinkscales and Herbert Glenn Clinkscales on April 24, 1971, in Charlotte, Sarah attended Providence Day School and graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 1983.
Sarah leaves behind the deepest part of her heart in her children, Elijah Ray Clinkscales-King and Ian Glenn Clinkscales-King. These sons were at the center of her universe. She is also survived by her former partner, Dustin King, her sisters, Martha Jo Clinkscales (David Forquer) and Rose Lynne Bowman (Tim); her Uncle, Tom Ramsey, her Aunt, Kate Ramsey, her cousins Ann Ayers (Darrell), Elizabeth Lieser (Jim), Lara Ramsey, and Mariah Mitchell; beloved nieces and nephews, Ramsey (Pat), Mary Kathryn (Colin), Sam (Gail), Turner (Claudia), Eugenie, and Rush, as well as great-nephews Bo and James, and great-niece, Josie.
A celebration of her life will be held at HaikuIdo, 26 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, North Carolina, 28803 on Wednesday July 20 at 6 pm, sponsored by Jennifer Zyla of Haikuido, and Ryan Guthy of Wicked Weed. Please bring flowers to share and exchange.
On September 3, 2022, we will celebrate again, at Decatur Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia at 11 am, and Sarah will be laid to rest next to her best friend in life, her mother.
