Sulu Kelley Obituary

Sulu David Kelley
CONCORD -- Sulu David Kelley, 69, died March 31, 2007 at NorthEast Medical Center.
Born November 6, 1937 in Lawrence County, IN, Mr. Kelley was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired engineer from IBM of Charlotte.
Mr. Kelley and his wife, Barbara celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to China so Mrs. Kelley could hold a baby panda. Mr. Kelley was of the Wesleyan-Armenian faith and was recognized for his ministry of producing out of print Wesleyan heritage commentaries on CD-ROM.
Surviving Mr. Kelley are his wife, Barbara F. Kelley of Concord; sons, Sulu David Kelley, II and his wife, Jerri of Marion, OH and Michael A. Kelley and his wife, Rebecca of Cincinnati, OH; daughters, Polly K. Knehr and husband, Don of Morongo Valley, CA and Amy Montgomery and husband, Drew of Concord; brother, Loren D. Kelley of Orlando, FL; sisters, G. Sue Myers of Cambridge, IL and Neva Thomas of Bedford, IN; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randle Kelley and Iva Pruett Kelley.
Services have not been scheduled.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International, Cabarrus East Camp, P.O. Box 902, Concord, NC 28026.
Hartsell Funeral Home-Concord Chapel is in charge of the arrangements for the Kelley family.
