I am at a loss for words and my heart is so heavy. Syl, my dear childhood friend from Head Start through High School, will forever be missed. She came across my mind today (9/19/11) and I decided to look her up only to find that she had already taken her flight. I can hardly believe it. Seems like it was just yesterday we were in DECA class at WC.

Family, you are in my thoughts.

Today, I just learned about Sylvia. I am very saddened by the sudden passing of such a wonderful and young woman. Sylvia was our account rep. with UPS, but I considered her a good friend. While I was pregnant last year, she guided me through all of my questions with her knowledgeable advice! The day after the delivery of my daughter, we were scheduled to have lunch together. I hate that I never got the opportunity to do that...You all are in my prayers.

She Will Be Missed.

To the Roddey and Bellinger Family my thoughts, love, and prayers are always with you. Syl was my dear friend and I will miss her tremendously. Continue to look to the Lord for strength and healing. He will see you through this painful time. I am so grateful to know that we will all get to see her again one day in Heaven.
Sylvia was such a beautiful lady and such a proud wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Sylvia was such an inspiration to me and I learned SO much from her. I will never forget her. She is in my heart forever. I want to say thank you to your family and Sylvia for your friendship. I consider myself lucky to be able to call her "my friend."

Thinking of you all during this time of loss…

My name is Ed and I have known Leslie and Alberta for a number of years. I have had the privilege to work with them on some of their retirement planning needs.

During this time, I have come to know about the great love and support Leslie and Alberta have provided their family. They are genuinely loving and caring people that love the Lord, their children and grandchildren.

I am sure that none of us really can know the sense of loss, the pain or even the questions that losing Sylvia must generate. I ache for her children and family.

This we can know. The Lord loves us and for those that have responded to his loving call to be His child, we have a promise we can own. One day, when we close our eyes in death, we will open them on the other side and step onto Heaven’s shore. Just imagine breathing Celestial Air for the first time! Just think of the joy it was for Sylvia to see her Heavenly Father Face to Face!!

Remember...There is no sorrow there, no pain, no heartache! The heartache and the loneliness are our burdens!

My prayer is that as you all remember those wonderful times you shared together as a family, that those precious memories might help lift your hearts and brighten the days during these difficult times.

Remember, Sylvia is home, home with her Heavenly Father…

Loving thoughts for a dear family,

Ed

To the Bellinger and Roddey family, I come to you today with a heavy heart. You are my Charlotte family. I feel like I lost a sister in Sylvia. Syl was one of the nicest people I have ever encountered. She had such a sweet spirit and a heart of gold. She would do anything for you. I am not sure if “No” was in her vocabulary. She made everyone she came in contact with feel like they had a special relationship with her. She was also very talented. Sylvia was a florist, interior decorator, hair stylist, handy woman, real estate agent, landscaper, counselor, an Awesome mother, a Great sister and daughter, A Beloved wife and most of all a Wonderful friend. I pray for peace for the family in the coming weeks and months ahead. Please know that Syl is continuing her work as an Angel with God now. I will miss you dearly Syl!!
