'Tommy'
LANCASTER -- Mr. Thomas Broach, age 62, of Lakewood Drive, Sumter, SC, formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC. He was born November 22, 1941 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Herman Lee Broach and Willie Mae Jhant Broach and was the husband of Ginny Hodge Broach. Mr. Broach retired from Bowater and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster.
Mr. Broach is survived by his wife, Ginny Hodge Broach of the home; a son, Marty Broach of Lancaster; a daughter, Nikki Broach Viola and her husband Robert of Florence; a step-daughter, Ella Marie Haneck of Sumter; 2 brothers, Nolan Broach of Lancaster, and Sonny Broach of Lake Wylie; and 3 grandchildren, Alex, Brooks and Drew.
Mr. Broach was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Broach.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Broach will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2004 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Keith Burgess and Rev. Rusty Fleming with burial to follow at Westside City Cemetery.
The Family of Mr. Broach will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at the home of Dale and Margaret Hodge, 2200 Lloyd Drive, Sumter, SC and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening, March 13, 2004 at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC. The family suggested memorials contributions be made to Lancaster Lion's Club, 1208 Crestfield Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC 803 283-2100 is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Broach.
