Thomas Mungo Obituary
'Tommy'
PAGELAND -- Mr. Mungo, 63, died August 30, 2011.
Funeral service: 1:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, interment following in church cemetery. Visitation: 7:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Sutton-Baumgartner Funeral Home.
Son of the late Clyde R. and Virginia Gay Mungo; Mr. Mungo was the owner of Smith Trucking; member of First Baptist Church of Pageland. Mr. Mungo served in the US Army and was a member of many organizations including, Mt. Moriah # 58 Masonic Lodge, Jamil Shrine Temple, Sandhill Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, VFW and American Legion. He was the 1984 NDRA World Champion in Dirt Track Racing.
Survivors: Wife of 41 years, Bobbi B. Mungo of Pageland, SC; daughters, Gina Mungo Timney (Troy) of Pageland, SC, Amy Mungo Miles (Wendell) of Jefferson, SC; sister, Gail Bruney of Tega Cay, SC; grandchildren, Missy K. Timney, Kayla M. Miles, Brantley P. Timney, T.J. Miles, Terra D. Timney, Sadie C. Timney, J. Daniel Timney, Nathan R. Miles; Loving Dogs, Punkin, Forrest and Buster.
Memorials: Bethel Baptist Church, 11078 Hwy 151, Jefferson, SC 29718, The Humane Society, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209 or any Local Animal Shelter.

ALL OF MY MEMORIES OF TOMMY ARE WONDERFUL MEMORIES! TOMMY WAS MY BOSS AND MY DEAR FRIEND, MORE OF A SECOND DADDY TO ME! I WILL CHERISH THE MEMORIES THAT I HAVE OF THIS WONDERFUL MAN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
