Vicky Mikronis Obituary

Vicky Katopodis Mikronis
Mrs. Mikronis, 83, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2005 at her home in Charlotte.
Born November 1, 1921 in Lefkas, Greece, Mrs. Mikronis came to the United States in 1969 and made her home in Charlotte the remainder of her life. She was a beloved mother and a perfect lady.
Surviving Mrs. Mikronis are her husband, Spiros Mikronis; three sons, Pete of Charlotte, Jimmy and his wife Brenda of Fort Mill, SC and Phillip and his wife Katy of Tucson, Arizona; and her beloved daughter, Vaso Smith and her husband Mark of Matthews; as well as seven grandchildren.
She is also survived by four brothers, Bill, Phillip, Art and Paul Katopodis; and two sisters, Effie Koukouliotis and Loula Katopodis, all of Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 16 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Father Basil Kissal and Father Tommy Vlahos officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Trisagion will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Cathedral.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Mikronis, Nathan Smith, George Christopoulos, Danny, John, Jimmy and Nick Katopodis, and Tommy Holevas.
Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Foundation, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
