Cathy Bourgeois Obituary
A resident of Cheboygan since moving here from California with her family in 1969, Cathy was born May 18, 1961 in Cheboygan, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Charboneau) Bourgeois. She was a 1979 graduate of Cheboygan High School, and for the past 33 years, was employed at Dave's Place in Cheboygan. Cathy enjoyed life, and was always willing to help others, especially her family. She loved her dogs and cat, and also enjoyed camping and arts and craft.
Surviving are her son Jacob of Lansing, a brother, Dean (Wanda) Bourgeois, of Cheboygan, and their family; Michael, Lynnea, Dianna, and John, a sister, Darla Woiderski, also of Cheboygan, and her family, Jason and Casey, both of Cheboygan, and a sister, Pam (Doris) Bourgeois, of Cripple Creek, Colo., and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joe Bourgeois, and her step father, Dave Bennett.
A celebration of Cathy's life will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Cheboygan Eagles Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family.

Cat, I am able to speak your name now, and not break down, my heart was broken, when I found out, and knowing I couldn't be there! You were my maid of honor, and godmother to 2 of my children. You sent them homemade blankets last year for Christmas, and they have not taken them off their beds yet! You are my best friend! And Girl, there's nobody that will ever compare to you!:( the memories I have, I will always keep close to my heart! All my children loved you, and we all cried together when we heard! I will always miss you, and love you, as a friend should! You my friend will be remembered everyday in my house! Love, pam

I was saddened when I heard the news about Cathy...I worked with Cathy and her two sisters at the Step Inn...Very beautiful people to be around they treated me like family always..It's sad because I just talked to Cathy at Dave's Place a few weeks...ago..Plus I was talking about her this pass week to one of my friends..about how long she had worked at Dave's Place..and what a good waitress she was..I will treasure my memories of her close to my heart...God has one more beautiful Angel at his side that's for sure..Rest in peace Cat...Love,David Van Alstine..I will see you again....
