Forrest Sweet Obituary

Forrest R. Sweet, II, age 26, of Cheboygan passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home. He was born July 27, 1994 in Marquette, the son of Kelly J. and Dallas L. (Peters) Sweet, Sr. On June 8, 2018 at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Forrest married Alexis "Allie" Michie, "The best day of his life" is how he would frequently recall it.

Forrest graduated from Cheboygan High School in 2012 and had worked in the construction trade for the past several years. He was an amazing dad and an amazing husband. He made it a priority to teach his children about the little things in life, because he believed that's what life was truly about. Forrest was the type of man to go out of his way, just to make sure his family knew how much he truly loved them.

Survivors include his wife, Allie and his children, Karter (7), Kaleb (3) and Peyton (1), his mother, Dallas Peters, all of Cheboygan, brother, Kelly Sweet of Grand Rapids, two sisters, Crystal (Derek) Lance and Joesy (Charlie) Cunningham, both of Cheboygan and his mother and father-in-law, Jeni and Glen Michie of Topinabee. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Bonnie Gouin and Larry Peters.

A celebration of life will take place this summer to honor Forrest. Memorial Contributions can be made directly to The GoFundMe Page that Jenifer Michie has set up through Facebook.

I'm so sorry!! I started watching Alexis on TikTok last year after his death and I'm still continuing to watch her content. I love how she is keeping his memory alive and helping others in their grieving as well by sharing hers. She is an amazing influence and I'm sure Forrest is proud of her. Hugs to her, the kids and both families.

Forrest..
I'm sorry if I am out of place by leaving a message, but, even though I don't know you, it feels like I do because you live through your beautiful wife and kids.. I just wanted to say that you are touching lives even when your life isn't present.. your wife shares videos all the time about the love yal shared and what a great husband and father you were.. my heart hurts for your beautiful family, I watch your wife's videos everyday because let's face it she is absolutely beautiful and what a good heart and personality she has.. she truly loved you with her whole heart and you can see that is for sure.. she motivates me, to get out of the bed each day and appreciate the things that go forgotten or taken for granted.. she has inspired me to try and be the best mother and wife I can possibly be.. please continue being by her side in the sunsets and helping her be strong for the babies each and every day.. show her signs that you are still with them and hold her tight when she starts to break.. may GOD bless your family and be with them through this unfortunate and heart breaking time..

I don't know you or your family. I actually seen your wife's videos on tik tok. I cried like a baby seeing the love you two had for one another, the blessed twinkle when staring at your babies, and just how much you adored and enjoyed it all. Words cant express how truly sorry i am for the loss your family is enduring. Your wife (although hurt) is strong! When your with someone you mold and grow together. I cant help but think you helped her be that way. That is a blessing. For her, your babies, and your family. You were taken way to soon but you wont be forgotten. I hope im not out of place to come here and write this. Tik tok only lets you type so much and i had this heavy feeling in my heart to show this love. Bless you and yours.❤

My Handsome angel,
I want you to know... I feel you watching over me and these babies. Everywhere I go. No words could express how badly I wish you were here with me. This home is no longer that, but just a house. Memories of you are in my heart and are constantly on replay. I can hear your laugh.. I see your beautiful face when I look into our babies eyes. I remember every little detail of this beautiful messy loud crazy life we built together. I know you hear me crying out for you... I hope you know I’d give ANYTHING for one more kiss or just one more of your after work bear hugs. I’d give anything to hold your hand one more time... I would never let it go. I hope you can see and feel all this love inside of me, It will always remain the same. You took a piece of me with you honey... I know you were my soul mate. Our love was one of a kind. The kind of love that inspired others. You will forever be my King, My Knight in shining armor. I love you Russell. Forever. I talk to our babies about you everyday and I promise to continue. Bed time stories and prayers are really hard right now... I know you see us. That was our nightly ritual. Please watch us closely honey. I am trying my best down here.
Until we meet again, I will never love another. You are/were IT for me.

I love you!!!
Say Hi to our little angel baby up in heaven. Rest in paradise, jump on those fluffy clouds. I will look for you within the rays of sunshine...
I love you.
