Patrick Peter Bilitzke

1969 - 2017

Patrick Peter Bilitzke, 47, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home.
Patrick was born on Oct. 8, 1969 to John (Pete) and Mary (Sullivan) Bilitzke in Big Rapids, Mich. He was employed as quality assurance facilitator for JK Company, Findlay, Ohio, a business owned and operated by Joe Kurtz, his cousin.
He is survived by his son, Adam Bilitzke (Adam's mother Stacey (Skladzien) Bilitzke) of Troy, Ohio; parents, John (Pete) and Jean (Satkowiak) Bilitzke, of Alpena and Jack Stelts, of Cleveland, Ohio; his brothers, David O'Toole, of Flint, Mich., Michael (Megan Brogan) O'Toole, of Hoover, Ala. and Joshua (Charlene Ferguson) Bilitzke, of Alpena, Mich.; his sisters, Debbie Stelts (Jacob) of Farmington Hills, Mich., Shelly (Glenn) Knapp and Melissa Lerma, of Oneida, Tenn. and Renae (Jon) Schalkofske, of Hubbard Lake, Mich. and a large extended family and many friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sullivan Bilitzke Stelts and his sister, Christy Stelts.
Patrick was an avid sports enthusiast and a fan of the Wolverines, Lions, and NE Pats. Patrick also wrote sports articles for Football Pros website.
He was especially proud of his son, Adam, an honors student and Boy Scout, who recently achieved Eagle Scout status.
Patrick was an accomplished competitive swimmer for the Saginaw YMCA and a member of the United States Swimming Association USA teams. While in high school, he swam for Ann Arbor Pioneer.
Patrick, we miss your humble and gentle kindness, always on sense of humor, amazing memory, chapters of stories told and untold, great cooking and as someone just said, his "love for those gut-wrenching Detroit Lions." Patrick also loved his family of parents, his son, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews. We love you "Big Guy," and you are dearly missed.
A private family memorial will be held for Patrick on Aug. 12, 2017.
