Amy Freeman

Amy Jennifer Debty Freeman, age 45, of Andrews, passed away Jan. 31, 2024.
Amy was born in Andrews to Johnny Debty and the late Linda Martin Debty, and she was a member of Vengeance Creek Baptist Church. Amy had a laughter that was contagious and a love for life, and her best times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Amy was preceded in death by her brothers, Jamey Anderson, Anthony Eugene Debty, and a grandson, Braylen.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Freeman, of Marble; daughters, Summer Ellis, of Marble, Tabetha Thomas of Michigan; son, Joseph Thomas, of Michigan; sister, Kathy Leitner, brother, William Debty (Shelly), both of Murphy; father, Johnny Debty, of Rydal, Ga.; grandmother, Sadie Debty, of Marble; grandchildren, Winter Star Finch, Jesse Douglas Barlow; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a community of friends.
Amy's funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in Vengeance Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Derrick Palmer officiating.
Interment followed at Vengeance Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy.
