Horace Coker Obituary
He was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Gwinnett County, Ga., to the late Emory Harrison and Crissy Viola Ewing Coker.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sue Owens; two brothers, Emory Leroy and Lewis Woodrow Coker.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Wilma Passmore Coker of Andrews; one daughter, Angela West and husband Tim, also of Andrews; two sons, Horace R. Coker Jr. and wife Melissa of Spruce Pine, N.C., Jeffery Scott Coker and wife Shirley of Flowery Branch, Ga.; one brother, Leonard Theo Coker and wife Wynell of Gainesville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Deena West, Holly Coker, Micaela Thompson, Thomas West and Justin Coker.
A funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, with the Rev. Leonard Theo Coker officiating. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 3, at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews.
The family received friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of arrangements.
