Isaiah Jacobs Obituary
Isaiah Daniel Jacobs, 26, of Andrews, found perfect peace on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
Isaiah was a beloved member of his community and the light of the lives of his family members. His light shined so bright and reached beyond just the people who knew him. He grew up in Andrews, where he attended school and made many friends whom he loved dearly. Isaiah was also an athlete in Special Olympics, where he competed both locally and at the state level, cheered on by his whole town. He went on to graduate from Andrews High School in 2016, surrounded by friends who had championed him all his life.
After high school, Isaiah stayed connected to the communities that helped raise him by working at both Ingles in Murphy and Andrews High School, where he enjoyed meeting new people. He was also a Christian who enjoyed worshipping Jesus both inside and outside of church.
He greatly enjoyed dancing through life, and often when it was least expected, his family would find him dancing – in the rain at a theme park, on the sidewalk leaving a restaurant, on a boat during a dolphin cruise, at his high school graduation – and this served as a reminder to all of us to cherish moments of joy in our lives, big and small.
Isaiah was known for his kind smile, sense of humor and love of superheroes. He embraced his Irish heritage by celebrating life over a shared drink with family and friends.
He cherished his role as an uncle to Stella, Aria, Sadie, Cyrus, Carter, Arden, and his other nephews and nieces. He also loved spending his days with his sweet chihuahua, Nala, who took her job of companion very seriously.
Isaiah believed life was an adventure, and he faced each day with joy and love. He touched the hearts of everyone he met, leaving us all better off for having known him. He loved deeply and was passionate about many things. He will always be our superhero.
Isaiah is survived by his mother, Cassandra, and stepfather David Lindley, and his father, Justin Jacobs, and stepmother Christine Jacobs; maternal grandparents, Deborah and Alan Raper, paternal grandparents Vivian and Howell Jacobs; brothers, Jeremiah Jacobs (wife Amber), Josh Lindley (wife Caitlyn), Cody Lindley (wife Kelsey), Ryan Jacob Henry (wife Krista); sisters Paige Lindley-Holloway (husband Tyler), Emma Jacobs, Abigail Jacobs and Brittany Milam (husband Tim); aunts, Amanda Gato (husband Bobby), and Grace Cheshire; and uncle Cade Raper; as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family plans to hold a celebration of life at a later date, where they will take contributions to an endowment in Isaiah's name to increase access to therapeutic services for children with exceptional needs. An announcement for the celebration of life event will be published in the Scout, so that everyone touched by Isaiah's light can come and remember him together.
