Raymond Gesiakowski

Gesiakowski, Raymond E. 68, Vietnam Army Veteran, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away March 18, 2014. Devoted father of Tammy (Leo) Bland, Tracy (Dennis) Yarnell and Shannon (Lenny) Roberts all of Oklahoma; proud grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 11; beloved son of the late Louis and Anna, nee Piwowarski; loving brother of Joan (the late Hank) Noffke, Jeanne Robbins, Suzanne (the late B.J.) Jerrick, Sally (John) Rackouski, the late Jim, Bob, Lou, George, Ted and Barbara Dulfer and Anne "Nancy" Schultz; dear nephew of Marianne Burda; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends. Ray loved music, he taught himself to play the drums and accompanied his brother George on the accordion bringing joy to many at family gatherings, showers, weddings, graduations, etc. He told of going on tour with a band to Alaska and at one time he played drums in Willie Nelson's Band. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Memorial Visitation Saturday, May 3rd, 10:00 a.m. until time of Service 11:00 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL.
