I just heard about Dr Chenelle´s passing. He was my surgeon in January of 2017.when I broke my back. I´m walking today because of his great skill. He talked often about his kids, saying that he was up at 3 am giving 3 month old Brooke a bottle and he came up with a new idea for my surgery. You kids should be very proud of your dad, he was a talented surgeon and helped heal many people. My sympathies to his family.

I am in shock to find out about Dr. Chenelle's passing. He treated me for an urgent brain bleed and was such a great doctor--one whom I will never forget. My heart goes out to the family.

Drew was a good person. He cared deeply for his children. He talked about Devon and Brooke often and always with sheer joy.
He was a very dedicated doctor. His heart would break whenever there was nothing more he could do for a patient.
I enjoyed the time we spent together. He was funny, witty, and, of course, intelligent. We shared the same eclectic taste in music. Boy did we have a great time at "The Million Dollar Quartet." He loved bowling and hanging out at Eden Lanes with his buddies. He was a great cook. His Bananas Foster was delicious! I loved making him dance to Spanish music with me. He tried teaching me how to do The Waltz. It didn't go well. We had some good times.
My condolences to his family and especially his children. May the good Doc Rest In Peace.

I am utterly gutted by this news. My very best to Drew´s kids and his family.
I met Drew when I was around 7 years old, as we both lived in the Brandywine section of Villa Park. We went to the same schools and ran with a lot of the same people.
And then the Universe incredibly put Drew back into my orbit, just when I needed him most. Bottom line, Drew saved the lives of both my mother Jean, as well as my sister Valerie, both of whom had multiple brain surgeries. His skill and ability were simply the very best in his field. But way more than that, his heart, compassion, patience and kindness were the secret sauce to Drew.
The friendships he created, and the lives he impacted, as a person and a Doctor, will be his legacy.
God Bless.

One of the first patients I cared for of his was a young man who suffered a spontaneous brain bleed. Dr. Chenelle helped me transport him to CT when he was having post op swelling. It was a sad case, but his presence showed his dedication to his patients. So sorry for your loss.
