My wife and I met Tony, Henry, and Regina when Tony and I were stationed together in Germany many years ago. We reconnected in Chicago a few years later, but sadly fell out of touch after that. He was a wonderful guy, and he will be missed.

Tony was a very special person, he had a way of connecting with people. Every time I spoke with Tony he would always ask how my family was doing. He will be missed by many.

We‘re sending our deepest condolences all the way from Tony’s family in Germany.
We got to meet Tony in 2015, when we visited Chicago for the first time. Tony immediately reminded us of Christas sisters son, Klaus. We went to dinner with Bruce, Dorothea, Christa and Tony and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was as if we knew each other for years. Jessica visited the family in Palos Heights last year and got to spend time with Tony and Christa again. Losing both of them within a year is a tremendous loss.
May they watch a lot of movies at the cinema in heaven together and may God keep your/our family heathy.

Tony was the real deal! What a genuinely nice guy! Competent and trusted by all. Tony hired our cleaning company to clean at Altom, Knox location. Just invited him to lunch last Thursday. Tony was a special guy because he cared about people and had a strong faith. He will be missed! Praying for the family! Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

Uncle Tony was a man of perspective. You could very easily talk to him about anything, even if it was a topic he would rather not discuss. He could sense that it was important to you at that particular time and that made it important to him. Whether it was a rough day at school or work, embracing the suck of being in the military, politics or economy, the list could go on and on. I can remember observing countless conversation between him and other members of the family, myself included, and the conversation would start to hint around getting heated.... And you could always tell when that was happening because of Uncle Tony's uncomfortable/nervous laugh. I can still hear that laugh. But right before the pot boiled over he would come up with a joke or simply make light of the situation. Most of the time those light hearted comments brought some perspective to the conversation. You may have not realized it at that moment, but sometime down the road when you were driving or just couldn't fall asleep. It would hit you, that perspective you may have been missing in the lost conversation.
Thank you Uncle Tony for always having a listening ear and a voice of reason. Love you.

I met Tony many months ago thru Business with Warren Oil. Tony and I were working on several deals to sell the Summit building. i met him so many times there and we talked, discuss business and laughed. WE are currently working on a deal that we are close to getting. He met everyone with me and helped to put this deal together. The day he died, we last talked at 4:30 p.m. He always made me laugh. He sent me so many emails and information on the building in case anything happened to him. I was so appreciated of his hard work. I called him the next day to find out he had passed away. I'm so sad. I will be at the wake and my deepest sympathy to the family. I know he will be in Heaven helping me thru this deal. I will pray for him and his family.

My deepest sympathies with the loss of your Brother Tony. Growing up on Maplewood with your family brings back wonderful childhood memories. All of them will be held in my heart forever. Tony was a great man with a sense of humor that kept you laughing for days, yet a kind and gentle man that made the room light up whenever he walked into it. Rest In Peace Tony until we meet again.

....."He was a very special guy." That one sentence in Tony's obituary sums him up. Tony was a very special guy. From the early 80's when I used to live in Brighton Park to a year ago this very week when his mom died, Tony always made me laugh. He was a special human being. I know how much his family will miss him. Thinking of all of you. Deepest sympathies. Marty and Mary (Dwyer) Paxson.
