Antoine "Tony" Bedard, 85-of Wheaton. passed away at midnight on Sunday, October 3rd. He was born and raised in South Shore. Tony was a long time member of St. Bride's parish. He was a South Side Cubs fan and an Air Force veteran of the Korean war. While working for over 30 years with the Social Security Administration he won an award for "employee of the year," after a potentially dangerous incident in the Loop office. Son of Frances (Peers) Bedard and Antoine William Bedard. Brother to the late Frank and his late sister Marie. Beloved husband of Linda, loving father of Joseph, Molly, Anne (Tony) Marquez, dear uncle of Lani (Larry) and Bill Bedard. Funeral Mass Friday, 10 am at St Michael's Church, in Wheaton with Burial to follow at St Michael Cemetery, also in Wheaton. I also worked with Tony in the early 1990's with SSA's Regional Field Services Team. Tony was a great guy, a bit of a character as well as an interesting conversationalist. Condolences to the Family. May he rest in peace.
