Ardelle W. Jones
Ardelle W. Jones passed away in peace on March 29, 2021 and has gone to be with the Lord after surviving COVID-19 and enjoying nearly 95 years of love and grace. Ardelle was known as Woody to her friends, family and all who knew her. She was a kind and sweet soul who laughed easily and always had a smile on her face. She had a warm heart, was eager to encourage and always wanted to hear every detail of others' lives.

Woody was born April 21, 1926 (the same day as England's Queen Elizabeth), grew up in Arlington Heights, IL and got her degree from the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked in commercial design for Marshall Fields and was also an avid skiier. On one ski trip in Michigan she met the love of her life, Addis T. Jones, whom she married in 1954. They started out in Evanston but soon moved to suburban Northbrook where they raised two sons, Scott and Brant. Ad and Woody were active in politics, Boy Scouts, and the Winnetka Presbyterian Church. They also had several Golden Retrievers, enjoyed attending Ravinia and, later in life, traveled around the world to places like Russia, China, Africa, Nepal, Chile, and Australia. Woody also enjoyed attending concerts by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Woody is survived by her sons, Scott and Brant and their wives Linda and Jeannette, four grandchildren, Jessica, Nikali, Clay and Cooper plus Jessica's husband Trevor and their two kids, Lazarus and Chase - Woody's great-grandchildren. Woody will join Addis at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, WI on April 21 - her 95th birthday. Please pray for Woody as she continues to enjoy all the joy and blessings of God's grace.
