Baron Victor Clémençon Whateley, II, 93; of Alta Vista Terrace in Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood; architect and former partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and avid sailor set sail from his earthly voyage September 10, 2021. World War II and Korean War lieutenant and veteran, patron of the arts, traveler, and lover of Siamese cats, the opera, the Chicago Symphony, and the Chicago Yacht Club Cruising Club. Dear uncle of Jennifer Clifford of Florida and Jessica (Pierre) LePine of Grand Ledge, Michigan; great uncle of Chloe and Margaux LePine. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna Whateley (nee Devine), siblings James (Ida) Whateley and Letitia (W.B.) MacWhirter, and parents Baron Victor C. Whateley, Sr. and Ethel Maud Whateley (nee Bellord). Baron's ashes will be comingled with Donna's and their beloved Siamese cats and released in Lake Michigan at a private summer ceremony.
