I only learned of Barry's passing this week. We go back to high school in Evanston (where we played touch football after school for several years) and college (where we frequently got together for "The Game").

It's probably been 50 years since we've seen each other. My heart and sympathy goes out to his family and friends for their loss of my old friend.

Dearest Beverly,

I just found out about Barry's passing, and was immediately saddened by the loss of such a great and generous man, and concerned for the well being of your family.

I was concerned about how you would be handling this turn of events, and then I realized that in keeping with the positive Life Force that you are, you would be the first to remind me that Barry lived a great life - one worth celebrating!

I looked at the beautiful photos that were taken by Marisela while you and Barry graciously hosted us at your Jupiter guest house in the recent past.

As I looked at those photos, I was once again filled with awe and inspiration for the love, appreciation and generosity that you two shared with each other - and the world.

It is in that spirit that I am adding a Marisela photo of you & Barry on the BevCee when we were there - and in my opinion, this picture is truly worth a thousand words - and the first two that come to my mind are Love and Appreciation.

It is in that spirit that I celebrate Barry's life, accomplishments and contributions, the love you had for each other and for your extended family and our "four legged friends" (Madonna & Cho Cho & Gizmo included), and the fact that Barry's legacy of love lives on through you and your children and grandchildren.

I will always be grateful for the many ways that the two of you have - and continue to - touch my life.

With Love and Appreciation,

PJ

Dear Beverly,

Our hearts go out to you during this terrible time of loss. Both Allen & I enjoyed our interesting conversations with both you and Barry. Your husband was a gentleman and extremely kind person. Because of your involvement with the Peggy Adams Rescue League, many wonderful animals have been saved.

May G-d bless you both.
