Dear Jess, Jorie and Meagan and Barry's beloved grandchildren. Barry was a great friend, a cherished colleague, a lover of all dogs and cats, a wonderful host, a raconteur par excellence and a most gifted cosmetic chemist and management officer. I first met my friend Barry in 1973 in Cincinatti at an industry meeting. Since 1995 we were talking to each other daily via 'phone or e-mail. My condolences to all of Barry's family. I think of him every day and I will miss him forever.

It broke my heart to hear of Barry's passing—but looking back on the times we spent together brings a smile to my face. Memories pop into my head of lighting luminaries around the holidays with Barry, or when I was little climbing in the tree in our front yard overlooking his driveway and he would stop to talk with me, Barry always wanted to talk (which is why we got along so well) and I cherished those times we chatted, every one of them. Those simple moments, conversations about nothing and everything all at once long conversations that would lead from cars to politics, and back again, so simple at the time yet looking back on them I consider each one a cherished gift from Barry. Helen Keller once said “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched, but are felt in the heart.” I always felt loved when I spent time with Barry and I hope he did too. So while I sit and write this note to my beloved friend with tears in my eyes, I look back on my time with him and it brings love to my heart. I know he is looking down on all of us with a big smile on his face, and I know that when we meet again in heaven we will have a lot to chat about. I miss you and I love you Barry

Barry was my dad's cousin and really more like a brother to him and an uncle to me. His kind heart and glowing personality will be dearly missed.

So sorry that Barry passed away. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I will always remember the chats that we would have while getting our newspapers or mail. I would ask "How are you Barry?" And he would usually respond, "If I were any better, there would be two of me." I never really understood what that meant but it always brought a smile to my face. God bless you Barry. May you rest in peace.
