Benjamin A. Buffa, 91, of Addison. Beloved husband of the late Rose Marie, nee DiGirolamo; loving father of Mariette (Richard) Shelhamer; dearest grandfather of Christopher (Amy), Matthew and Daniel Shelhamer; dear brother of Jacqueline (the late Len) Kovalski and the late Charles (Margaret) and the late Rocco (Donna) Buffa; fond uncle of Nanette, Leonard, Anthony, Rosanne and Michael. Funeral Service Saturday 9:15 a.m. from Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 mi. W. of rt. 83, 2 mi. E. of rt. 53), to St. Philip the Apostle Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. Benny was always one of my favorite "uncles". He and I had a special bond. When I was a child and I would visit my cousin, Mariette, I have such fond memories of she and I would sitting with him and watch television at their home in Elmwood Park. As the years went by, Benny and I always were so happy to see each other, even if it became farther between visits as the years went on. He lived a good life and was surrounded by so many people that loved him. He will always be alive in our hearts. Our loving Benny is now with his beautiful Rosemary, and forever with God.
