Beloved husband for 66 years of Blanche, nee Lees; loving father of Dr. Michael (Toby), Judith (Ben) Kugler and Terri Lees; adored "Papa B" of Todd (Mikki) and Paul (Dawn) Gagerman, Andrea (Dr. Andrew) Ross, Seth (Julia) Halpern, Brooke and Logan Kugler, Brad (Gina), Todd (Rosie) and Ryan (Michelle) Kugler; proud great-grandfather of 12; cherished brother of Josephine Scott, Rhoda Laks and Jack (the late Rita). Service Tuesday, 12 noon, at Cong. Bnai Tikvah, 1558 Wilmot, Deerfield, IL 60015. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cong. I will miss my wonderful big brother, his brilliance, his dry sense of humor , and his love for his"dear sister." When I would call him I would end the conversation with "I love you , Bernie." and he would say "I love you ,too, dear." God, Bernie, I miss you so much.
