Kelly "Barney," retired CPD, loving husband of Arlis, nee Lee; loving father of Mary Kathryn (Jim) Welti, Barney and Patrick (Lonnie); loving step-father to Deborah (Louis) Latka, Wendy (the late Mark) Smogor, Mark (Brenda) Wrobel, Karen (Bruce) Burns and Lisa (Dave) Platnik; grandfather to Kaitlyn, Colton and Cassidy; lovingly called Bernie to many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear brother of Frank (Pauline) Kelly, Mary Kathryn (the late Jim) Brophy, Bernadette Kania and Faye Larsen; fond uncle to many. Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, family and friends to meet at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 1010 W. Webster, for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass.
