Beverly (nee Thompson) Kramer, 93, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2021 at the Door County Skilled Nursing Facility in Sturgeon Bay, WI, where she lived the final years of her life, and was beloved by staff and other patients. She passed with her loving children at her side.

Bev was born in St. Paul, MN to loving parents Hildegard and Russell Thompson. She and her older brother, Frank, grew up in St. Paul. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Bev moved to Chicago, IL where she met her husband, J. Harold (Hal) Kramer. Bev and Hal were married on May 3, 1958 and their son, Douglas Christopher, was born in 1959 and daughter, Sue Ann, was born in 1963. After raising their children in Highland Park, IL, Bev and Hal moved to Lake Bluff, IL, where they lived until Hal passed away in 2013.

Beverly moved up north to Sturgeon Bay, WI to be closer to Sue Ann and her family. Living in assisted living and a local nursing home, Bev made friends with staff and other residents. She loved to tell stories, was an avid reader, knitted lots of scarves for friends and family, and watched Judge Judy whenever possible. Bev welcomed all visitors with a smile and an invitation to sit down and chat. Bev will be missed deeply by all of us lucky enough to have known and loved her. She is survived by her children, Doug (Mary) Kramer and Sue Ann Hubbard, and her grandchildren, Grant and Maddy Kramer and Kyle, Grace and Charles Hubbard, and her nieces Emily Haddad and Bonnie Gentil, and nephew, Mark Thompson.

A private service will be held at a later date this summer at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Forbes Funeral Home of Sturgeon Bay is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
