Bonnie L. Baker nee Grossman, 67, a longtime resident of Brookfield, passed away, January 9, 2021 at Landmark of Des Plaines Rehabilitation Center. Bonnie graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange in 1970. She worked at Continental Bank in Chicago, First National Bank in La Grange and Morton Credit Union in Cicero. She was very active in service during her time on the PTL of St. Paul's Church School and was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where her and late husband, Larry, always volunteered whenever they could. She enjoyed spending time with her son, Ryan and close long-time friends and neighbors. To say that she was a people person would be an understatement. Her life revolved around the people she built deep connections with over the years. Bonnie embodied her three core values in life: kindness, selflessness and service. Her latter years were rough for her but she kept a sense of humor and beautiful smile all the way through. Bonnie is survived by her son, Ryan L. Baker and Zoe Berk; granddaughters, Harmony Lisowski and Angelique Baker; cousins, the Johnson Family, Jan (Ron) Miller, the Cekal Family, Dan (Cheryl) Koeritz and godmother, Arlene Schwandt. She was preceded in death by her late husband Lawrence Baker whom she married on October 10,1982 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookfield; her beloved brother Wayne F. Grossman and her parents Clarence Grossman, Edward Lorenz, Violet Lorenz nee Koeritz. Memorial Visitation Friday, January 22, 2021, 9:30am until time of Memorial Service 11:30am at Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home 3847 Prairie Avenue, Brookfield. Interment Bethania Cemetery, Justice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a headstone to honor Bonnie would be appreciated. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.JohnsonNosek.com. Info: (708)485-0214.

Ryan, to you we offer our deepest sympathies but also the hope that is ours and is your mothers in Jesus Christ, Who died and rose again for her. We were most happy to hear from your mother how you sustained her in her day of need. We will plant a cedar tree for her at our Missouri home using a device she gave me years ago to dig holes for fence posts, it is outside of our home in Missouri, whenever I see it I am reminded of Bonnie.
